We are Stratos Cloud, a remote-first company building tools used by thousands of teams worldwide. Our engineering team is growing and we need a Principal Software Engineer to help us reach the next level. You will work alongside a senior team with high standards and a strong culture.
What You'll Do:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment infrastructure
- Collaborate with product and design teams to define technical requirements
- Drive architectural decisions aligned with long-term product goals
- Improve system reliability, performance, and observability
- Lead code reviews and mentor engineers across the team
- Contribute to engineering roadmap planning and sprint execution
What We're Looking For:
- Demonstrated impact at the company or industry level
- 10+ years of deep expertise in your domain
- Experience shaping long-term technical vision and strategy
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas to all audiences
- Strong external presence through publications, talks, or open source
